The 1098 Union Auto Nightlatch is automatically deadlocked when door is in the closed position. It is particularly suitable for glass panel doors as the lock handle can be double locked with a key from the inside, can still be opened from outside with a key.
It is designed for use on wooden doors from 35 to 60mm thick, hinged on the left or right and opening inwards only. It opens with a handle from the inside.

The 1098 Union Auto Nightlatch

60mm 1098 Union Auto Nightlatch Dead laches

This Union lock fits wooden doors from 35mm to 60mm in thickness, it can be fitted to both left and right hand sides of doors, but is only suitable for inward opening opening doors.  This lock is ideal for glass panelled doors as it has an inside locking handle, therefore stopping lock opening, when locked, if glass is broken.

It is suitable for Standard stile doors and has a 60mm back set.

The bolt is withdrawn by key from outside and also inside by the handle, unless the handle has been locked from inside.  The handle being locked by turning the key in the cylinder situated in the middle of the handle, the handle can also be locked back, so the latch is held back, in the same way, the latch can also be held back by the snib.

When door is closed, the dead latch operation is set, this prevents slipping or forcing back of the latch.

The latch is supplied with all fixing screws, keep and 3 keys, extra keys can be supplied when ordering the lock.

The locks come in the following finishes Champagne Gold....Brass....White

The cylinders come in either a brass or satin chrome finish.

The cylinders can be passed with the narrow Union 1097 lock or with any other Union cylinder, with the same section.
