The standard 40mm 84 Yale Night Latch at a discounted

This latch is meant for doors where only light security is needed, such as office doors, internal doors etc. It is the 40mm version of the Yale 88.
It is opened from the outside with a key and a turn from the inside.  It can be snibbed into place, in order that a key will
not open it from the outside.

84 Yale Night Latch Non Double Locking

The standard 84 Yale Night Latch 40mm Latch can be passed and mastered to other Yale Locks and is suitable for internal or external doors, it operates with a key from the outside and a knob lever from the inside, this latch cannot be double locked, from the outside with key.The 84 Night Latch has a snib on the inside box to hold the latch back, as well as dead latching it to prevent entry with a key from the outside.

This is not a double locking night latch, the double locking night latch is the Yale 85.

For external doors it is advisable to fit a BS3621 5 lever deadlock, as well as the 84, for Insurance purposes.

The finishes of the cylinders are either brass or chrome.

The Night Latch comes with 2 keys.

The cylinders can be mastered and passed to other cylinders with the same profile.

For outward opening doors, the latch can be reversed and an outward opening keep can be fitted.

If you need to fit the above lock to an outward opening door, you will need a Reverse Latch Plate.
