same back plate can be used.
This latch double locks with a key from outside, thus preventing slipping action.

The Asec AS19 Night Latch will replace the Yale 89 easily, it can be fitted as a fresh fit without problems.
This is a double locking latch, please do not use on a tenement building, as it cannot be opened from the inside, once double locked.

 Deadlocking Asec AS19 Night Latch

The Asec AS19 Night Latch Dead locking Rim Lock is an deal Night Latch for a replacement to the Yale 89 Double Locking Rim Lock, or for fresh fitting, it is near enough the same lock, but, at a reduced cost.

It comes with a Brass Cylinder or a Satin Cylinder, it has 2 keys, extra keys can be supplied on ordering.

The Asec AS19 Night Latch comes with full fitting instructions, plus fixing screws. It can be purchased case only. The finish of the lock case is grey.

This rim night latch lock can be double locked, which means, when turning the key one complete turn from the outside, the lock cannot be opened from the inside, this is ideal if you have a glass panel in your door, as well as preventing the latch being slipped..

If fitting to a flat door or exterior door, it is suggested that a British Standard Deadlock be fitted as well, for Insurance purposes.
