The Union /Chubb 1K57 Hercules Padlock, this is a robust concealed shackle padlock with a vertical sliding shackle which comes through the staple hole making direct attack impossible. It has an
AVA 10 disc locking mechanism, it
come with 3 keys, but extra keys can
be obtained when ordering the
padlock. The key can only be withdrawn when the padlock is locked locked,
It is protected against drill attack. The
other version of this padlock can be supplied with a 6 pinned version,
which comes with 2 keys. It is ideally suited for use with Union 7B018 Horizontal Locking Bar.

Union /Chubb 1K57 Hercules Padlock
The Union / Chubb 1K57 Hercules Padlock is available with either AVA 10 disc or 6 pin locking mechanism.
It has a key retention when the padlock is unlocked, therefore making it hard to lose the key. The AVA 10 disc padlock comes with 3 keys, the 6 pinned padlock comes with 2 keys. both are designed to be an anti pick mechanism. When ordering these padlocks it is advisable to have any extra keys needed at the same time, because it is very hard to get them cut on the high street.
There is a hardened steel un-sprung 16mm shackle and the body is made up of a hardened forged steel. Therefore helping to make it anti drill and anti saw resistance.
This padlock is recommended as high security.
