The ERA 263 and 363 British Standard Egress Deadlock which come in 64mm and 76mm are ideal locks for Communal Front Doors and Fire Doors, where an
Escape Lock is required for an easy exit route.
It has a turn knob operation
from the inside and a key operation from the outside.
This lock goes ideally with the British Standard Egress
ERA Rim Lock. It can be passed to
the rim lock, therefore only one key needed for both locks.

ERA 263 and 363 British Standard Egress Deadlock

Fitted with a turn knob British Standard cylinder, the ERA Egress BS Deadlock, a British Standard Escape Lock are an ideal lock to fit in conjunction with the ERA BS Escape Rim Night latch, to fit to communal doors, or doors where escape access is needed, yet they will still comply with Insurance requirements.  They make it easy to exit in the event of a fire.

It gives a reasonable price High Security option for any front door, or Communal door, with the added bonus of quick exit in the event of fire, if turn knob cylinder fitted.

Master Locksmiths can Master key or pass cylinders to the ERA Fortress High Security cylinder lock and the High Security Rim Night latch.

The conflict between a secure British Standard accredited front door lock and fire safety recommendations has now been overcome thanks to the new Keyless Egress Range.

The new BS8621:2004 standard mirrors the BS3621:2004 but is for ‘escape’ locks.

The locks are classified as providing keyless egress at all times.

This applies where there is a requirement for an easy action method of opening an external door from the inside with no need for keys or similar devices for unlocking.

Especially relevant for entrance doors in multi-residential and other buildings. A keyless lever on the inside of the door ensures its possible to make an emergency escape in the event of a fire.

The British Standard Egress 233 ERA Euro Deadlock, is the ideal partner lock to go on the same door as the ERA Rim Night latch as both are British Standard and Insurance approved and can be keyed on the same key, they can be fitted with a key and key British Standard Cylinder or with a British Standard turn Knob cylinder; this is an ideal situation for fire protection, to save being locked in between flat door and front door without a key.

Fit the ERA Euro BS Deadlock with a BS turn knob cylinder and the ERA BS Escape Rim Lock, make an ideal Insurance approved scenario for escaping in the case of a fire. 

 The British Standard 233 ERA ERA Egress Deadlock comes with 3 x 6 pinned keys plus all fixing screws and security escutcheon plates

They come in 2 1/2" and 3" and the finishes are Brass, Satin and Chrome.
